Watford Appoints Walter Mazzarri as Head Coach

The Hornets have confirmed the appointment of Italian manager, Walter Mazzarri as its new head coach after agreeing on a 3-year deal.

He becomes the latest Italian to cross over to the Premier League after Antonio COnte, when he resumes at VIcarage Road on July 1, 2016.

Walter Mazzarri was the man behind the emergence of Napoli, after he introduced his preferred 3-5-2 system. The 54-year old reached the Coppa Italia final twice with Sampdoria (2008–09, lost) and Napoli (2011–12, as won). He also took the latter to a second place finish in the Serie A in the 2012-2013 season.

His last appointment was when he was made the head coach at Inter Milan in 2013. From his first professional coaching contract at Acireale till date he has managed 577 games, won 231 games, drawn 179 games, and lost 167 games. His win rate is 40.03%.
